About Us

Ever since my first trip to Fiji in 2013, I was instantly in love with the country, its rich culture and beautiful people! Backpacking around the islands with my buddy for a couple months, we went deep sea fishing, hiking through lush jungles, spearfishing, surfing and even got invited out to a remote village in the highlands where we feasted on local foods and drank kava until we nearly exploded. It wasn’t until we landed on Taveuni though that I really fell in love with this place. I had never seen anything like it, the ocean so many shades of blue, the jungle so green, and the landscape still so pristine. After exiting the plane and walking around looking for a place to stay we couldn’t believe how friendly the people here were and within hours we had already been invited in to houses and treated like family. This island was special, different from anywhere else we had been.

Long story short, we packed up and left Taveuni after two short weeks, but I knew I had to come back. I returned every year until finally purchasing this property in 2016 with the goal of setting up an affordable place for fellow travelers to stay.  In 2017 my wife and I made the big move from Hawaii to Taveuni and in 2018 we completed renovations on the property.  We finally were able to open our new vacation rentals in paradise!  We are now happily operating again and planning on building a new cottage in the upcoming months!
